The world is such a fascinating, varied place and there’s always somewhere new to experience. I’ve been extremely lucky to be able to indulge my passion for travel, taking me to all continents bar Antarctica so far. Although I had a brief spell as a resort rep, taking care of package tourists, my own travels have been highly independent in nature, including a lone gap year that took me around the world, and more recently a multitude of house exchanges with my family, throughout Europe and further afield. I love to be able to employ all the senses in conveying a location’s flavour in my writing, so that the reader is transported beyond the page.

Katherine has an easy natural style with her travel writing making it very readable. We have all enjoyed reading the articles she has written about our choral holidays.
